Take Home Chef

This is one of my favorite shows. Not only is Curtis Stone not hard to look at he teaches you how to make really nice recipes. My favorite recipe is his peanut butter cookies.

Halloween Pumpkin Losers! (should have been winners)

Tara and I dress up every year for Halloween. We didn't have a costume this year so we improvised.
Shane's cousin Dre came with us this Halloween. She takes such good care of Crew. Dre dressed up as a Gypsy.
Grandma, Crew, Spiderman (Jaxon), and a scary pirate (Bailey).

Crew dressed up as a dinosaur. Instead of yelling Trick or Treat, he would yell HELLO!

OK this is what happened. Every year we have a BIG pumpkin carving contest. Almost every year I win. It's not that we are so talented, but I obsess over this for days. I literally make myself sick. So this year my sister and I teamed up. We did this zombie head with worms coming out of his eyes and his two flesh rotting hands on two other pumpkins and to top it off got gummy worms covered them in dirt and had them coming out of the pumpkin.
This took Shane, Tara and me three hours to do.
I thought for sure we had it in the bag. My grandma and grandpa are the judges every year and my grandma always chooses the one with the most detail.
My brother Dave who has the same passion to win as I do talked his up so much and when the unveiling of pumpkins came.....
his was a face with horns, the simplest pumpkin he has ever done. We were all laughing because the winner was soooooo obvious. The judges came and unfortunately my grandma was sick so it was my grandpa, my uncle Kirt and aunt Linda.
The end result was shocking. My brother Dave won. Can you believe that!!!
I had to call foul play, ran over to my grandmas house with pictures of the pumpkins and the truth came out.
Foul play for sure. In all of my 25 years of life I have never known my mother to cheat, but here comes the twist. She was tired of taking last place so she called and bribed the judges (meaning my grandpa and uncle). When the judges came to choose the winner they chose the one they thought was my mom and dads and accidentally chose Davids instead. I was so ripped off. My grandpa and Uncle have now been kicked off the pumpkin judging board. As for my brother he has been rubbing his win in my face for days!! O'well next year.

Thriller!!

I just have one question: Why is Thriller so freaking awesome?

This last Friday night we went to the Odyssey show Thriller. I was a little worried because we were taking Shane's grandma Marge. If anyone has seen this know you have to love dance and Halloween. It ended up being a hit.

My favorite dance was Frankenstein and his bride. They dance together and as most men are he was a little too rough with her. Frank accidentally breaks her neck and dances around with her limp body. I know what you are thinking a little gory, but it really is hysterical.

Stinkin Cold

This picture was taken only a few days ago. Short sleeve shirts and no shoes. Can you believe how cold it got in such a short time. I HATE it!
Shane put a bandanna on his head so.......Crew insisted on having one too.
Look how nice the weather is outside.
Notice what we are wearing now.......jackets and slippers. Anyone have any good ideas on how to get rid of the blankee. Crew takes this thing everywhere. Inside, outside, stores and even to church. In three days it went from being perfect weather to freezing. The snow came down for two days. Luckily it didn't stay too long.

Don't Cry for me Argentina

OK, these pictures are way out of order but that's OK. This was the cutest little Argentine boy.

Our first night in Argentina. We had just picked up Tara and went to celebrate at a restaurant. As we were sitting down to eat a woman came and kicked us out. This was the second restaurant we went to that night.
Senor Tango's is a dinner theatre. It is the actual spot where the tango was invented. They have couples who dance the tango all night.

Oh Dear Ole Davis High School

My entire family went to the Davis game at Weber State University. The boys LOVE football.
This is a really bad picture of all of us, but it was the only one where Crew is looking at the camera.

Mommy's Shoes

I found Crew in my closet, trying to get my shoes on. I put them on him and he wouldn't let me take them off all day.
He tried to walk around, but they were so heavy he didn't get too far.

Hermana Demorest

My sister Tara on her mission in Cordoba, Argentina. She is coming home on October 7th. We are going to go and get her about a week before. I can't wait it is going to be the original five (mom, dad, dave, tara and me). I can't wait to see her.
Tara got to see Crew the day he was born and then left to the MTC the very next day. I can't wait to show her how big he has gotten.

Cowboy Crew

Crew's aunt Kaitlin is a really good photographer. We planned an entire day of taking the boys pictures. Crew was not happy with having to pose. He cried basically the entire time.
We bought Crew some new cowboy boots. He wants them on 24 -7 and cries when we try to take them off.
